Numbering over a model made of external references
Each model will be numbered separately. Bringing all the parts together as external references is useful only to have a global view of the entire structure, but for numbering and detailing, you need to treat them separately.

Improving the speed in modeling and detailing
There is an F.A.Q. document on our website where you should find useful information about improving the speed in modeling and detailing. You can find it at http://www.graitec.com/en/FAQ_view.asp?FAQID=832&Language=EN&Name=How+can+the+speed+in+modeling+and+detailing+be+improved%3F.Also, when it comes to handling large models, such as yours, we recommend that you divide the structure into smaller parts, stored in separate drawings. The smaller the file, the easier it will be to work with it. When you need an ensemble view, you can bring all of them back using external references.
If you need further investigations on your particular model, please contact the local Graitec support team. -

Using Advance Steel with STRU M.I.S.NET
Hello,
For bill of materials (BOM) Advance Steel is compatible with KISS standard. If StruM.I.S is a program which is created for the management of steel quantities, then it should also be compatible with KISS standard.
Best regards,

Dimension style on prototype
Open the prototype ANSI B ASSEMBLY, or the one you want to change, from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Graitec\AdvanceSteel\2010\Shared\Support\Prototypes.
Make the new dimension style and set it current. Save the prototype and close it. Recreate the drawings using the prototype so that the modifications take place.
