Our R&D team analyzed the files and provided his feedback:
For point 1 and 2, the problem generating the error message is fixed for Advance Steel 2012 Service Pack 1. I’ve checked with a Beta version of this SP1 and the behaviour is correct, and the joint can be created in those cases.
For point 3 : the two beams are not correctly created. The haunch joint requires the rafter to be perpendicular on the column flange. In your case, the angle between the two objects is 89.89 degrees. If the haunch made of a profile accepts a small tolerance between the two objects, the haunch made of a plate requires the two objects to be perpendicular. Please remodel the two beams in order to obtain the correct output.
