Hi Tony,
I did some test on my side and used the ribbon Export & Import tab. I selected the Block panel and chose Insert, where I was prompted to navigate and select the drawing I saved. All seems to work well.
Check your file of type when inserting.

Thanks for the reply. See the attachment as this is the Pallete I am using to try to insert the block. Just to recap. The standard Autocaad insert works but trying to insert with the pallete is where I find the problem

I didn't quite give you all the info in the last post. I can insert this drawing through the standard Autocad insert command and also through the palette (See pallete attachment from previous email) The problem arises when I try to edit the Base Plate macro. I can edit the Base Plate Macro that was inserted using "insert" but I can't edit the Base Plate from the palette insert. Seems a bit odd to me that this occurs.
