Hello,

I have been wondering if there will be a rendering option in the stand-alone version of graitec or not. I have always wondered why the render tab was there when none of the commands are actually recongnised. It would be a useful tool to have.

What is a good program to use to accompany Graitec in the rendering process (hopefully a free software)?

Thanks

Render in AS 2014-SP2 Stand alone

There is a rendering option in Advance steel 2014 SP-2 Stand alone

You must first create your preferred materials by selecting the Materials icon. Render-1.jpg

Select” Create new material" and navigate to the folder where you keep the images. Render-2.jpg

Name it and selectOK

A New material dialog box appears

Select the material you just created (Steel-1) from the list on the left and click the "Apply to object(s)"

Select the objects, choose the lighting you prefer. Render-3.jpg

Select the Render icon which will bring up a Render dialog box

Select the Save image button then the Render button. Render-3.jpg

Select the Realistic Visual style to view your results.

Play around with the lighting and materials until you accomplish your desired results. I have exaggerated the lighting and materials for your viewing.

Note: You can also use the Render tools that AutoCAD has to offer.

Best regards,

Janet Black

So in the 2013 version, the buttons are only for show or do I need to download something to make them work?

To activate the tool You must first create your preferred materials by selecting the Materials icon and creat a material to attach to a beam column...That started the process for me.

Thanks

See attached file.

The materials command it uses is unrecognized...
